FAQ's
Do you offer telehealth or in person services?
Currently all sessions are conducted via telehealth. We use a secure HIPAA compliant platform for all telehealth appointments.
I am ready to get started. What are the next steps?
We offer a FREE 15 minute phone consultation to determine if we are the right fit for you and your personal therapeutic needs. Feel free to call to schedule your consultation so we can discuss your concerns and therapy goals.
How long do counseling sessions typically last?
Individual counseling sessions typically run 50-55 minutes.
How often will I need to come to counseling?
Duration and longevity vary for each client. Typically for new clients we suggest meeting on a weekly basis to help ensure rapport is being built in a timely manner. Following the intake, we will establish a set time to meet each week and that will be our recurring weekly appointment.
What to expect in the individual counseling sessions?
The first sessions are critical in the healing journey. During this time, we will work on building rapport, collecting information about your history, identify your therapeutic goals, and develop an individualized treatment plan.
What type of insurance/payments do you accept?
Currently, I accept United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, and Maryland Blue Cross Blue Shield. I also accept private pay (credit/debit card or cash) for individuals receiving services in Maryland. Sliding scale fees can be discussed.
What is a Good Faith Estimate for Out-of-Network Care?
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate in the client portal before your appointment. For more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate or the dispute process, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 368-1019.
